Federal Reserve Easing Out of Mortgage Backed Securities, Treasury Debt Highest

The Federal Reserve balance sheet has scaled down on mortgage backed securities (likely due to them being carried to maturity). However, they continue to carry a record high balance of Treasury debt and whenever a treasury bond expires, the Federal Reserve is reinvesting them in new Treasury debt.
